back to school (and it felt surreal)

"welcome to your JTA first semester. I understand you're at an accelerated semester, so we will be moving quite fast...when they offered me to teach the JTA class I accepted it because they said, 'sir magagaling yan'. (sir, they are very good students). So I expect you to be good students and you have to prove it."
Great. These are the words of my first teacher this day, 8 am in the morning. And honestly, I am not an outstanding student--I just get through by God's grace with decent grades--but I was never a dean's lister. I looked around the room and noticed who were my classmates: Sopfia Guira, top something of the entire batch in SOM. Chris Chiu (Don't even know the spelling of his name haha :D), member of the Ateneo Blue Eagles Basketball team and also an honor student--as far as I know. Why am I with this people? I am Anna Bernardo--LM student. I am not a famous varsity player in school, I am not part of the "creamest of the crop". But it IS God's plan--He allowed me to pass the JTA (Junior Term Abroad) grade requirement for a purpose. And yep, we're a salad mixture of ME,LM,ComTech,Management and Mgt-Honors students. I was the only one in my block who decided to push through. So I don't really know "know" anyone O_o

Our LS (leadership and strategy) teacher had pretty high standards, but for some reason, I was excited for the course. There were lots of interesting things that we will be learning in the course syllabus and many challenging stuff too. In groupwork, I will be working with people I've never worked with before---good luck O_o Hope we will all have an agreeable "chemistry" as a group...

Next class was at 6pm!! It was only 10 am and I had to wait for my other blockmates so that I can sell some stuff to them. Honestly, sales aren't going well ^_~ hehe. Sana may bumili naaah!
They arrived at like 12:45 and I was almost dead at that time. I just didn't show them haha!

Then I went to church to help the singers practice for camp. My goodness, I was so dizzy by the time I arrived O_O Major dizzy, I had to sleep at the music ministry office!hahaha! I slept for about more than 30 minutes :D Left CCF at around 5 pm.

DUGAS NG TAXI! (The cab's a cheater!) He said P250 from Megamall to Ateneo and refused to use his meter-----NO WAY! WELOOO?! It only takes me P110-120 from my house to school and that's even a greater distance. As I walked away he shouted, Ateneo 150! Ano yun, bag?! (What's that like, a bag?!) I looked for another taxi and it only took me P85 pesos. That's almost 3x less than 250 bucks. God will avenge! Sana wala siyang nabiktima! (I hope he didn't victimize anyone).

The teacher lectured right away in our 6 pm class. It was okay, the teacher called on people in his list and since my surname was a B, I was also called. But the questions weren't bad and the lesson was quite light. The best thing ever happened:

-In the morning, forgot to mention that Fin103 was moved from Fri eve at 6pm to Mondays at 6. Although that means 8 hours break---that also means I have no class on fridays! And I can go to our college fellowship nights--SOULSTOP! YEY :D

-In the evening when we got there, the teacher asked us if we want an alternative schedule to replace our Saturday class. We picked wednesday---so good bye Saturday 8-10 am hello wednsdays 6-8 pm!

That's like ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! First because I will always have 3 day weekends and secondly because it may give me a chance to go to EVOLVE all female camp! I can take care of my girls! Hurray :D

Now all I need is a ride from Caliraya to Manila on Sunday...Lord please!

It felt surreal.Really. What a day.
